Yerba Mate Glossary


Yerba mate cut without stems. Type of yerba mate cut which is characterized by lack of stems, or palos in Spanish. Usually more strong and bitter than con palo cut. Very popular in Uruguay.


Sweet in Spanish. Mate dulce means that mate is enhanced with sweeteners like sugar or sweet milk.


Characteristic, which is used to describe the amount of refills that yerba mate can take before becoming lavado. Usually, duration can be classified as short, moderate and long.
