Yerba mate La Selva is produced by the company of the same name — La Selva S.A. — which was founded in 1910. At first, it was a small laboratory that studied the pharmacological properties of local plants and the effect of the use of various herbs on human health.
Since 1966, La Selva S.A. grew and expanded into the yerba mate market, and today it is one of the largest herbal tea and yerba mate companies in Uruguay. Their slogan, “Es cosa buena”, translates from Spanish as “It’s a good thing”, can be found on every bag of La Selva yerba mate, and reflects the core values of the brand: high quality, delicious taste and good health.
